Philadelphia man crashes SUV riddled with bullet holes

It was a quiet evening in Philadelphia until multiple gunshots were fired in the parking lot of a hotel. Police officers shared that the incident occurred at the parking lot of the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel along the 41 block of Presidential Avenue around 5:50 PM.

A GMC Yukon was hit at least 30 times and the driver of the SUV drove away from the scene while the shooters were still firing.

The bullet-filled SUV was spotted speeding down City Avenue. It got on the onramp to the Schuylkill Expressway (Interstate 76) when it rear-ended a Mercedes SUV. Then the Mercedes came to a stop under a cement pillar of the overpass.

Police officers arrived to find that the GMC Yukon was shot several times, especially in the front windshield. A bullet grazed the abdomen of the driver and was taken to a local hospital.

According to NBC Philadelphia, the driver and passenger of the Mercedes was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

Investigators determined that over 50 shots were fired in the hotel parking lot. They haven’t determined a motive for the attack, but it seems to be targeted.

Surveillance cameras captured the incident. Footage will be used during the ongoing investigation. Names of the victims haven’t been released.
