Because I’m obsessed with trucks I often lurk in comment sections and forums. There has been an increasing demand for a luxury Toyota truck. But don’t drivers know about the Toyota Tundra Capstone? Why doesn’t it fit the bill?
Drivers want a luxury Toyota truck as they ignore the Tundra Capstone
A digital artist decided to make an image of a luxury Toyota truck based on the Century SUV. Despite this just being a random art project, drivers went wild for the idea of this new ride.
The Toyota Century SUV is available in Japan and is designed to battle the Rolls-Royce Cullinan with an extravagant and sophisticated style. The luxurious Century costs between $170,000 to $220,000 based on the bells and whistles you select.
According to Supercar Blondie, the Century truck wouldn’t be cheap but drivers don’t care. They’re calling for Toyota to make it happen. They want the SUV to be equipped with a 5.5-foot truck bed for trips to the country club.
But why aren’t buyers interested in the Toyota Tundra Capstone? It is for peasants with a mere $80,725 price tag? Would the Century truck be more of a mid-size option? The Tundra is quite large but that seems like the chauffeur’s problem.
The Tundra Capstone is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6 hybrid engine that cranks out 479 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 5.7 seconds.
Luxury features include power running boards, premium leather upholstery noise-reducing front door windows, and a head-up display. But some drivers must want more.
