Flashy, wealthy residents have made Miami, Florida, famous. Taking a stroll down any Miami suburb would mean seeing tons of expensive, ostentatious, and luxurious cars—including those from Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and of course, Rolls-Royce.

Last week, a neighbor caught something on camera that no one would have believed happened otherwise. The video starts with a large, white tow truck towing a white Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV—a luxury vehicle that costs upwards of $500,000 (or more, depending on the options).

The tow truck dragged the Cullinan from the owner’s driveway by the front wheels, leaving the rear wheels locked in place. Before the SUV reached the street, the owner ran out of the house nude, using only a towel to cover his genitals.

Obviously, the repo driver picked a vulnerable moment to take the Rolls-Royce back.

The Rolls-Royce owner was briefly nude

The nearly-naked man ran down the driveway and decided to sit on the link between the truck and the Rolls-Royce. However, before he could sit down, he had to adjust the towel, meaning he was in his birthday suit for a few seconds before sitting on the truck.

Anxious to get the driver’s attention, he used the hand that wasn’t holding up the towel to bang on the truck’s bumper. The man spots another man driving a dark SUV and flags him down, likely thinking he would help.

Instead, the man spoke briefly to the frantic Rolls-Royce owner and convinced him to leave the repo truck alone. The man, defeated, sauntered back into his house.

Viewers say it says a lot about the neighborhood

Viewers of the Only in Dade Instagram seemed fairly split between feeling sort of bad for the guy, and feel like justice had been served. Others, though, say it speaks volumes about Miami’s culture.

“The land of all flash and no cash,” wrote a viewer.

Another saw the opportunity to make a punny joke.

“He couldn’t afford the car, and that’s the naked truth,” they wrote.

Ferris Ahmad, a manager for HLux, a luxury and performance dealer in South Florida, couldn’t help but add fuel to the fire.

“Don’t worry, we got our car back!” he commented. He also mentioned the damage done by the repo driver was fairly extensive, but they were happy to have it back.
