Every Subaru SUV except 1 gets slapped with increasing prices
Going up! You might notice that most Subaru SUVs have all been hit with major price hikes. Almost every model in the lineup is expected to get between $750 to $2,000 more expensive. Only one subie is safe.
Almost every Subaru SUV faces rising prices
The only Subaru SUV that isn’t getting a significant price hike is the Soltera EV. All of the other SUVs and cars in the lineup are increasing in price between $750 to $2,055.
For example, the BRZ and WRX just went up by $2,000. The Ascent got the biggest price increase of $2,055. Plus, the Subaru Outback just added another $1,715 to its price. The Legacy has an increase of $1,600.
Subaru shared that the increasing prices are not based on the country of origin. According to Motor 1, Subaru America has adjusted its pricing in response to current market conditions.
Reportedly, the changes were made to offset the increased costs while maintaining a solid value proposition for drivers. All politics aside, Subaru didn’t mention tariffs.
However, the 25% tariff on vehicles imported to America is impacting other automakers. The Ford Maverick is built in Mexico, and now starts at $29,840. General Motors said it won’t raise prices despite predicting a $4 to $5 billion loss.
The Subaru of Indiana Automotive plant builds quite a few popular SUVs in America, like the Ascent, Outback, Legacy, and Impreza. SIA is a zero-landfill plant that employs over 5,600 workers.
Roughly 44% of all Subaru vehicles are built in the United States, and 23% of its parts are made in the United States and Canada.
