A Texas man was already having a bad day when his car broke down. But things got much worse when he started to incorrectly tow his Saab sedan with the help of his girlfriend’s SUV. They broke the axle and refused to stop as chaos ensued.

Texas man tows car backward and breaks axle without stopping

A Texas man struggled as his car broke down around Highway 290 in Houston. He didn’t have the money for a tow truck, so he called his girlfriend to help out with her SUV.

They used a chain to connect the car to the SUV but hooked it to the back instead of the front. During the process, the Saab’s axle broke, and the sedan started to wildly fishtail. It was swerving in and out of traffic lanes, causing tons of smoke to rise.

For some reason, the man was sitting in his car during the incident as his girlfriend laughed in the driver’s seat. David Chairaz and his coworker filmed the incident, which you can see here

They tried to tell the woman driving that it was dangerous and yelled when she almost hit a door, but she ignored them. The car continued swerving wildly at highway speeds.

Police officers arrived to put an end to the chaos and no one was hurt. However, the Saab sedan was probably totaled. They could have been cited for failing to maintain a single lane of traffic and more.

However, Houston police didn’t give the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Dontae Brown, any citations. Instead, they arrested him for an active warrant he had from Georgia.
